Are They Waiting For A Visit In Denmark, Norway and Elsewhere? The Lovely and Talented Eivør Seem to Think So

I think a city as steeped in the performing arts as Houston will appreciate the clarion call of European artist Eivør. She, like most of the planet she lives on, may be growing inceasingly tired of waiting. Maybe it's time to let it come?

I imagine the flight that brings an end to their confusion. An end to their discouragement. I look forward to someday carry on that wonderful tradition that I've tried to build here that includes London, Perth and Rome. Where does John Tyler go next?

Y'all decide.

I've Loved You Since The First Day I Laid Eyes On You. Happy Valentine's Day, Sweetheart

Those watching this blog (or my previous blog) over the years might wonder how long our love has endured. My eyes first saw her beauty more years ago than most of you would believe at this point, but the Princess has come up with a pretty good round number in this song that certainly illustrates how long it's felt at times.

Happy Valentine's Day, angel. Just know that I'm thinking about you tonight. Looking forward to that day...

Remembering that great night in San Antonio with Stryper

This night was my 10th Stryper show since discovering the band as a freshman at La Porte High School. Before this evening, I saw them twice on Soldiers Under Command (Houston and Pasadena), once on To Hell with the Devil, once on In God We Trust, twice on the reunion tour (Houston and Orlando), once on Reborn, once on Fallen, once on GDE, and then this increbile night in San Antonio. Since that night, I've seen them again in San Antonio on the Final Battle Tour.

Tonight we're remembering that wonderful evening in San Antonio. Are you warriors ever coming through Houston again?
